DownloadMany studies show that auto emissions, watercraft and other air pollutants are a significant threat to the water quality of Lake Tahoe, as well as the quality of the air we breathe. The expansion of clean transportation infrastructure, such as electric personal vehicles and public transit, will substantially mitigate the air pollution that threatens the environment, quality of life, and sustainable economic development of the Lake Tahoe area.
The Lake Tahoe Electric Transportation Forum hopes to bring together local, regional, and national leaders who share a vision of making the Lake Tahoe Basin a world-renowned model of clean transportation. There’s an immense amount of work to do to achieve this goal, but there are new grants, tax credits, other financing opportunities, technologies, innovations, programs, and other resources that can amplify the excellent work already undertaken by the clean transportation stakeholders in the area. Key attendees include:
• City, county, state, and other governmental entities that can take advantage of new federal grant opportunities for Electric Vehicle (EV) and other transportation infrastructure.
• Lake Tahoe businesses interested in learning about tax credits and other incentives to electrify fleets.
• Clean transportation advocates
• Elected officials and other policymakers
Organizers hope to annualize and expand this event and draw clean transportation leaders from around the country to Lake Tahoe in 2024 and beyond. There’s an opportunity to develop a future trade show of electric vehicles, electric sports and recreational products, and electric and hydrogen fuel cell electric watercraft, featuring demonstrations and ride and drives. At this inaugural eventthere is a limited amount of space for displays that could include new electric products used in buildings, agriculture, forestry, and other sectors, industries and energy efficiency & renewable energy technologies. Vendors should reach out to the contacts listed below for details.
The exhibit area may also include new electric products used in buildings, agriculture, forestry, and other sectors, and energy efficiency & renewable energy technologies. Vendors should reach out to the contacts listed below for details.
